Exploring Art and Entertainment through Captivating Images

BIOGRAPHY

Ben Mukabwa is a multi-talented Meli Creatives Artist, educator and producer. 


He plays the Adeudeu, Litungu (African lyres) and a wide range of percussion and the acoustic guitar. He is is also a singer-songwriter and has produced several works of art like Jingles, adverts and music. He is currently co-producing an album The Loom with Dr Gameli Tordzro. Some of the track on ‘The Loom‘ are on the music score of a new Ghanaian Documentary film Omo Ghana ‘Man for Chop’ to be premiered in Accra in  February 2025. 


He creates and produces African music that is inspired by culture and driven by life experiences and interactions. His work are in his mother language (Luhya), Swahili and English. 


Lately, he has directed his energy into researching African Musical instrumentation and building.  He performs with his band The Abantou.

About Ben Mukabwa

Ben Mukabwa tells us his music journey and how it gives him financial direction. He prides himself in working with Tabu Osusa of Katebul Music and the singing wells project. Ben Mukabwa is prolific composer, song writer and entertainer. Ben Mukabwa has produced many hit songs such as Indumbu, Matombole, Nakusifu mama, Homage Kasongo and Inangobwa among others. Beside being a musician, Ben Mukabwa is also a lecturer
